Paper mario!

last night i went to this club called "Paper". $5 for a club experience is okay in my book, but the thursday date detracts from the overall experience, 'cause you know you have class the following morning :). Plus we waited over an hour, and these skeezy mexican guys cut us in like, I felt a very strong urge to get physical, but the 6 of them looked a little too macho for me to get involved with... plus there's the whole legality of fighting, and how there isn't any. Thankfully the experience outweighed that of the one I had at the Roxy, and I enjoy it again... The grinding of random intoxicated people. Tonight I'm going to Cambridge to see the improv troops of some local schools including my own, and tomorrow I'm hoping on going to the Museum of Science. Jason was gonna go with me, but he became money-hungry 'cause of his trip to Europe ( Like he's so special ;) ), but I'm still gonna go, hopefully with Marybeth, and possibly katie, sophie, and Brian. It'll be fun whether I have a posse or not. Maybe I'll even stay long enough to see Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the moon lazer Show ( That's lazer with a Z ). There's so much I wanna see; virtual Volley-ball, the HUGE Vandergraph generator, a life-size millennium falcon, the planetarium, and all those wacky exhibits.. *gets overly excited* Ahem! As a final note, I've come to the conclusion, that all drunk girls ever want to do is make-out.

It's OVER!

So Jess got here on friday, around 8 in the morning, and is staying until tuesday. she got to stay up al night and take a flight out of DC at like 6 AM. I met her at the airport, brought her back to sleep, and went to my classes, and the rest of the weekend is history. We just got back from a lackluster tour of the southwest part of Boston, and we're cold so we're gonna watch a movie. au revoir!

Goodbye, Yellow Brick Road

One thing I've always been adept at, is drawing parallels. People are never gone from your life; I mean they may not be right there, because of emotions, or distance, or a lack of a pulse, but they're always a part of you, and the discomfort I feel is from realizing things are different, is just my reaction to change. We're Creatures of Habit. It takes a great while to realize someone is gone, or that part of your life is gone, it's a lot like Irving wrote:
"When someone you love dies... you don't lose her all at once; you lose her in pieces over a long time--the way the mail stops coming, and her scent fades from the pillows, and even from the clothes in her closet and drawers. Gradually you accumulate all the parts of her that are gone. Just when the day comes--when there's a particular missing part that overwhelms you with the feeling that she's gone, forever--there comes another day, and another specifically missing part." -A Prayer for Owen Meany

Now I don't claim to have lost my mother or anything that heart-breaking, but I'm slowly realizing that High School is over. Those walls were such a comfort to me, even before I was a student. That was where everyone went, you knew your path then, and you could find solace in having a stated goal to strive for. Now we've got to make up our own goals, our own lives left curt tailed at graduation for us to redirect. Last night I realized just how far away from High School I really am, not for the first or last time, but in a very significant way. In college they inundate you with work so you don't have time to stop and think about this, but every once and again, it strangles your thoughts and holds fast until you give in and break down. And by "Your" and "you" I mean "My" and "I". But I'm slowly growing up; and I've got more going for me now than I've had before; Maybe not as comforting, Maybe not the familiar walk to the kitchen table on a sunday morning, but I've got my own life to live that's here and now, no longer in the past. I can't compare my life to what it used to be, that's not fair. So Thank You to everyone that's in my Life now, I love you all dearly, and I hope I mean as much to any one of you, as you all do to me. :)

Okay, I had the power to control and make thunderstorms, and their power was based on what kind of rock formation the were made over. I Could see humidity patterns around me, and I kept going to this fancy gathering where everyone left at dinner. It was i the RHS cafeteria. My Parents kept having to drive me to and from somewhere, and I think I had sex with someone in the dream. Also, here was a nature trail behind my house with sings and all that mumbo jumbo.

Spin my bottle

So, tonight was the first night (Morning kinda) That I've ever played spin the bottle, and it ended with the RA and Lindsay Puking in the Bathtub, and with me kissing 3 girls and 2 guys. HAPPY 21'st BIRTHDAY MELISSA! Anyhow the night was filled with lots of drinks and such (I didn't have any though, I felt like staying sober; something about starting to drink after midnight bugs me) culminating with Spin the bottle. It was okay, I guess, it really takes the passion out of it. Thankfully I didn't have to kiss Lindsay, that would've been awkward. But it was a nice experience overall. I think there should be a drinking course you need to take; Drinkers ed, so you know what your tolerence is. And you'd need a license to drink too. On the card it would say how many drinks it takes for you to: Get buzzed, get a high buzz, get drunk, start puking, pass out, and finally die. That'd probably help a lot of people. And the drinking age should be 18.

The End

So I went to visit my good 'ol buddy Jason yesterday, and had a grand old time (and a grand old meal for free ;)) with him and a few of his dorm buddies. I'd like BC a bit more if it wasn't for them dang hills :). Anyhow, I sprinted over there after my classes, and we watched some scrubs, then chilled out in the basement, and finlly had some Applebees before we chilled out again, and I went back to the City. Somehow I showed them al a view of the city from the steps of upper campus, that they had neve noticed before. it's very cool, 'cause it's the pru, and that's the landmark I use to get back to campus.

I Should've stolen scrubs.
:)

Weird dream with a snake theme.

I woke up a few minutes ago from a dream where I got bit by a poisonous snake, that I couldn't get to let go of me. I was swimming in a pool with some friends, (Trying to float on a raft with 4 people?) and the staff of the pool started throwing in snakes as examples of which kinds of snakes in the area would also sneak into the pool, we all got out of the pool, and there were dozens of snakes in it; from tiny ones, to an anaconda. Anyhow they started capturing all the snakes, and slitting their throats to kill them, as the pool frequenters stood on the side and watched. Well a king cobra (which for some reason was in the water) got to the edge of the pool and leaped toward me and bit my crotchal area(not any of the equipment but still through the bathing suit) and everyone yelled at me to pull hm off when I couldn't. Then I got him off and throw him down, and he bit me again, this time in the thigh. Then there was a weird montage of me being slightly ethnic and pulling through this to graduate college and survive against the odds. But with that much poison I shouldn't have survived.

Also there was something about ghosts earlier. And women. And my brother. And me killing someone. hmm. Getting sucked into a homework and sticking your hand out the backside to write the homework onto the paper. hmm.

Good morning Everyone!

This was a really good week, and aside from a slight lack of sleep last night, I'm feeling tip top.

I really love my fridays, I have 3 two hour long classes in a row, but I'm tough, I can hack it. I always feel like I've accomplished so much afterward, and more like an ACTUAL college student, instead of someone just aspiring to be one. No plans laid out yet for this weekend, but next wednesday I get to see Colin Meloy... YAY! Oh, also I am Rapunzel's Prince in The Great White Way's production of "Into the Woods", a fanciful medley of fairy tales in the making. :). My audition was actually kinda scary, I had more butterflies than usual. I did a scene from Buffy where spike gets really angry, and I think I scared the people I was auditioning for (mainly the asst. Director ;)), but I got to scream so it was all good, and at the last minute I changed my song to normandy and kicked butt with it. Then I stuck around for sophie, and they all invited me to dinner at Uno's where I ran into Stephanie Anzalone, which was cool, but I forgot her name at first so it was kind of embarrassing. I also met someone new in our building, which was kind of fun, and I think the girl who sits next to me in environmental ethics has a crush on me, but that's pure speculation at this point. Anywho! I'm off to bug people.

Au revior!

~Ory
